Theme: Chatbots Problem solving

Explore the outstanding boundaries of tech in this Gen-AI Hackathon at Neutron. "Newtathon" invites you to blend Gen-AI with creative real-world problem solving. 

Flow of Event:

  • Following registration, workshop sessions will be conducted by Google Cloud mentors and will take place before the commencement of the hackathon from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

  • Teams will be allotted a generous timeframe of 24 hours starting from 3PM of 20th April 2024 to 3PM of 21st April 2024 for developing their final project.

  • All participating teams must convene at designated labs for collaborative problem-solving and mentor walkthroughs. The offline participants will be free to work at the specified labs in the given time period.

  • This event will be conducted at the Newton School of Technology under the guidance of Mentors from Google Cloud.

Rules and Regulations:

  • The event will be conducted in an offline mode. The leader and all teammates are requested to be physically present at the venue. Teams failing to do so will be disqualified.

  • Each team is required to select a name, with a team size of up to 4 members and a minimum of 2 members.

  • Participants must provide an accurate information list in the registration form about each team member during the online application process, and any unclear entries will not be considered.

  • Eligible submissions will undergo evaluation by a panel of judges selected by the Administrator. Judging may occur in one or more rounds, at the Administrator's discretion.

  • Must attend the hackathon workshop on 20th April 2024 from 11AM to 2PM at the scheduled location.

  • Judges have the option to assess submissions based solely on the text description, images, and video provided without mandatory testing of the application.

  • Administrators retain the right to disqualify any individual or team found tampering with the entry process, acting inappropriately, or violating the Official Rules or applicable laws.

  • Participants are obliged to adhere to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Administrator and/or Hackathon Judges, which are binding and final.

  • Any form of cheating or plagiarism will result in the disqualification of the team, barring them from further participation.

  • Participating teams must coordinate with the Neutron management team for the seamless execution of the event.

  • It must include the use of Google Gen-AI.

Requirements for Hackathon Participants:

  • Objective: Develop a user-friendly website or mobile application prototype on the theme.

  • Key Features to Implement:

    • Create an intuitive and visually appealing interface for both the website and mobile application.

    • Ensure seamless navigation and user experience across different devices.

Judging Criteria: The Judges will be from the Google Cloud team:

  • User Experience (UX) and Interface Design

  • Functionality and Feature Implementation

  • Technical Proficiency and Code Quality

  • Innovation and Creativity

  • Presentation and Demonstration Skills

Submission Requirements:

  • Prototype of the website or mobile application

  • Presentation materials (e.g., slides, demo videos) showcasing the features and functionality.

  • Documentation detailing the design choices, implementation approach, and future development plans.

  • Teams would be given 5 minutes to present their project.

Key points:

  • There is no registration fee for Hackathon

  • If you want accommodation, you can book it separately

  • Certification will be provided

  • Food items like overnight refreshments will be provided
